Jacquie Carter has been with Herbalife for more than 16 years. She started working in Outer Nutrition Marketing, where her primary functions were New Product Development and Global Product Marketing. This entailed researching new product ideas, formulating them with the Research and Development team and bringing them to launch worldwide.
To date Jacquie has been involved with 45 global product launches, including Radiant C®, Herbal Aloe, NouriFusion®, Skin Activator® and Herbalife SKIN®.
Jacquie’s expertise in Outer Nutrition has been implemented all over the world. She has launched products and trained Independent Herbalife Members extensively on its benefits in more than 60 countries. In her role as Director of Worldwide Outer Nutrition Training and Education, she continues to work with the Research and Development and Worldwide Marketing teams to deliver the absolute best products to the marketplace, while ensuring Members worldwide receive the most accurate and up-to-date product information and training available.
Jacquie is the head of the Herbalife Outer Nutrition Advisory Board and contributes weekly editorials to DiscoverGoodBeauty.com.
Jacquie has a B.A. in Communications from State University of New York at Oneonta, has studied personal care ingredients and technologies and product formulations at University of California, Los Angeles, has a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and is a member of Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP).
Susan Bowerman is the director of nutrition training at Herbalife, where she is responsible for the development of nutrition education and training materials, and is one of the primary authors of the Herbalife sponsored blog, Discover Good Nutrition. She is a registered dietitian, a board certified specialist in sports dietetics and a fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Susan graduated with distinction in biology from the University of Colorado, and received her master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Colorado State University. She then completed her dietetic internship at the University of Kansas. Susan has taught extensively and developed educational programs targeted to individuals, groups and industry in her areas of expertise, including health promotion, weight management and sports nutrition.
Prior to her role at Herbalife, she was the assistant director of the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition, and has held appointments as adjunct professor in nutrition at Pepperdine University and as lecturer in nutrition in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Susan was a consultant to the (then) Los Angeles Raiders for six seasons, and was a contributing columnist for the Los Angeles Times Health Section for two years. She is a co-author of 23 research papers, 14 book chapters, and was a co-author of two books for the public: “What Color is Your Diet?” and “The L.A. Shape Diet” by Dr. David Heber, published by Harper Collins in 2001 and 2004, respectively
Samantha Clayton is responsible for all activities relating to exercise and fitness education for Independent Herbalife Members and employees. Through in-person training sessions, educational tools and materials, and her blog (www.discovergoodfitness.com), she ensures that the important role of exercise as part of a healthy, active life is understood by all. She also helps create, organize and promote employee fitness programs and activities as an integral part of the company’s corporate wellness program.
A native of Liverpool, England, Samantha initially worked as a consultant for Herbalife for two years and led the Herbalife24-Fit program, the company’s first comprehensive fitness training program and DVD series.
Before joining the corporate ranks, Samantha was a professional athlete. She represented Great Britain in the 2000 Sydney Olympics in both the 200m and the 4x100m relay events. Prior to the Olympics, she won two medals in the Olympic AAA trials – a silver medal for the 200m and a bronze for the 100m – as well as a silver medal in the 4x100m relay during the European Junior Championships in 1997. Her personal records include 11.40 seconds in the 100m and 23.02 seconds in the 200m.
Samantha is a personal trainer and group exercise coach through the American Fitness and Aerobics Association (AFAA) and International Sport Science Association (ISSA).
