Hello! I saw a video from Susan Bowerman about the eggs. It has a lot of really interesting info, however something I didn’t get is: how many eggs a person should eat daily or weekly? Some say 3 eggs a week, others 1 daily egg and others recommend 2 eggs per day! What do you recommend? Why? Thanks!

Hi Deepthi,
Good question.
Herbalife’s weight management products are designed to be part of a plan that includes a healthy diet and exercise. If you are using Formula 1 Shake as a meal replacement, it is not a requirement to add additional items, such as fruit or yogurt. You may personalize your shake, as many of our customers currently do, by adding different items to it. However, keep in mind that you may affect the taste, texture and consistency of the shake. Herbalife does offer a number of enhancers, such as Protein Drink Mix, Personalized Protein Powder, or Beverage Mix that were designed to be added to your Formula 1 Shake.
It is important to note that weight loss can be affected by a variety of factors, such as the amount of physical activity undertaken, medication or medical conditions. Always consult your healthcare professional prior to starting a weight management program and incorporating dietary supplements.
Hi,
I have ordered recently herbalife products for weight management. I have a question about using these products. Can i have milk shake with fruit or is it going to add any extra calories and will it delay by weight loss?
Can replacing my meal with milk shake make me weak or fatigue?
I exercise daily so i do drink protien shake every evening at 5 after my workout. Its about 120 calories per serving. So can i still take the protien shake while using these herbalife products. I am worried if that might add calories which may effect my weight loss?
Can i have milkshake in the morning and at dinner time and have my lunch as normal i would?
When i am using these products will it supply with all nutients vitamins required for body as i will not be snack on fruits?
Please do help me with concerns.
Thank you,
Deepthi
Hi there Kiran,
Papaya is a commonly consumed fruit, and this ingredient is the fruit powder. Papain is comprised of a mixture of enzymes that are present in papaya leaf, and the safety concern for pregnant women is related to either crude papain preparations or possibly other substances present in crude papain preparations, which are very different from the papaya fruit powder used in Herbalife Formula 1 Nutritional Shake mix products.
Hi,
I am a new distributor for Herbalife. We recommend Formula 1 as a healthy breakfast for all our customers. In the formula 1 – nutrional shake mix product, papaya powder is listed in the ingredients. Some of my customers, who have observed this fact, told me that this doesn’t suit the women, who is looking to conceive or already pregant.
Please could you clarify on this.
Hi Kiran,
Herbalife has been in the business of supplying the best nutritional supplements, weight management, and personal care products for over 30 years. Everything we do starts with great products; and all our products start with proven science.
Some Herbalife nutritional products contain soy, and like all of our products, the ingredients they contain are healthy, science-based and chosen for use by our world-class scientists overseeing product development and formulation.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
I am a Herbalife distributor and please can you clarify on the below email complaining on the usage of soy foods for women, especially.
I have read many articles on Herbalife websites and elsewhere as well, supporting the usage of soy food but the below I have got an email from one of my customers, which is completely contradicting my understanding. Hence I profoundly request your clarification in this regard.
Thanks in advance!
Below is the content of the email I have received:

Thank you for your support of Herbalife and your detailed attention to the product ingredients, Shahieda.
Someone who is diabetic should follow the advice of their personal physician about any dietary changes.
The sugar used in Herbalife Formula 1 Express bars is Fructose-Glucose Syrup and is used for flavor and to help bind the ingredients so that the bar maintains its shape.
I’m a Herbalife Distributor
Can someone please tell me if the Formula 1 Express bar (14.2g of sugar) and the protein bar (10g of sugar) are safe to use by diabetics! What type of sugar is this and why so much?
Thanks
i like this post greatly. ill be checking backfor future articlesthanks.
Hi Yvonne-
More than 100 studies have been conducted on sucralose that show it is unabsorbed or metabolized by humans and completely safe to eat. These studies have been evaluated over a 20-year period and clearly demonstrated its safety. Additionally, our ingredients are reviewed by leading doctors and nutrition scientists and we are confident in the safety of our products.
We understand that there are consumers who prefer not to use non-nutritive sweeteners. Sucralose is the only non-nutritive sweetener that is made from sugar, and only a very small amount of sucralose is used in Herbalife® products.
As you said, we do offer products that do not contain sucralose and we hope that you will continue to enjoy them.
Hi I am a Herbalife distributor and would like to know why we use surcalose in our products. It is a chlorocarbon made from 3 chlorine atoms. They say it’s not absorbed in the body but that is not true. Can you let me know if we are going to change that? Thank you.
SOY DISTRIBUIDORA DE HERBALIFE Y GRACIAS A ESOS CONOCIMIENTOS HE CAMBIADO MI NUTRICION Y MI VIDA A DADO UN REVOLCON PARA BIEN AMO A HERBALIFE GRACIAS
Enormously helpful thanks, It is my opinion your current subscribers could very well want significantly more blog posts along these lines maintain the good effort.
So I’m in my teens and I would like to begin weight training. All of the people around me appear to be stronger then me so I want to change it. But some body recently had said to me that weight lifting will stunt my growth, so I definitely want to be sure if that is the truth?
I can’t believe I hadn’t come across this until just now. Very happy I came across this post. Appreciate you posting it!
Hi. Please could you confirm whether the Herbalife Formula 1 Shakes are gluten free. I have seen on the ingredients that they contain oat fibre,
Thanks!
Elmarie Smith
I have found the most effective method to get every one of your b vitamins is to just take a mutliple b supplement every morning. they have 100% of the recommended daily amount. Also some of the finest resources of vitamins are always found in fruit plus veggies, you really can’t go wrong with fruit and veg..
Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll keep it in mind with future tips. If there’s something specific you’re wondering about, please let us know.
Thank you providing us (food lovers) with some great tips. Just wondering if your blogs could give us a little more information (links?) with scientific references to continue learning more about nutrition.
Hi Kay, We are pleased to hear that your daughter is having success using Herbalife products!
My daughter took Herbalife vitamins to her doctor and he compared them to prenatal vitamins, the only nutrient she needed to add was folic acid. She took Formula 1, Formula 2, cell activator, Herbalifeline(clinical studies have proven the baby’s brain develops faster with omega3), Herbal aloe vera drink and her baby was a 10 on the apgar scale.
New distributor here that wants to thank you for the great work. Just started putting my website together where I hope to build a support group for good health. You videos are excellent and I appreciate the work that goes into them. Keep it up and best of health to you. Brett
Thank you for your comment. The small increase in acidity in the digestive tract that occurs with the consumption of dried plums does facilitate calcium absorption, as calcium is more readily absorbed from a mildly acidic environment. However, this small increase in acidity does not increase the overall acidity of the diet, and does not affect the overall pH balance of the blood.
Hi, please help me understand: Adam Baer wrote an article in Men’s Health quoting you on dried plums: dried plums…..”make for a more acidic environment in the digestive track….That, in turn, facilitates calcium absorption.” I know dried plums have proved to increase bone density, but I have read that an acidic diet can cause the extraction of calcium from the bones to rebalance the pH. Please help me understand this. Thanks!
Susan, I am a dietitian interested in becoming a distributor. Would you be able to provide me with a contact number where I could ask you a couple of questions about Herbalife?
Diane Benfield, MS, RD, CD
Hi Susana,
Thanks for your question. Optimum nutrition during pregnancy is important to maintain your health and to minimize problems during pregnancy. All nutritional supplementation during pregnancy should be discussed with your prenatal physician. Formula 2 is not a replacement for prenatal vitamins.
Hi!
I am planning my second pregnancy and I would like to know what are the recommendations for consuming Herbalife products during pregnancy:
- Is it safe to have a Formula 1 milkshake at breakfast?
- Does Formula 2 replace some of the supplements that pregnant women have during pregnancy, such as folic acid, iron, magnesium and calcium?
- Is it safe to continue taking Herbalifeline? What about Guarana, Aloe Concentrate, Thermojetics Tea?
The reason why I am asking all these questions is because my distributor advised me to talk with my doctor on this and my doctor doesn’t really know Herbalife products, so she cannot give her opinion on this. So, I would like to hear your advise.
Thanks in advance,
Thank you for your question, Karen. Fructose is a natural simple sugar found in fruit. It is not an artificial sweetener and is also different from Sucrose. It differs from table sugar and high fructose corn syrup in that it does not cause a rapid rise in blood sugar. Fructose is a slowly metabolized fruit sugar and is considered to have a low glycemic index. The mixture with protein further slows the effect of fructose on blood sugar.
Corn syrup solids are a dried form of glucose syrup. Glucose is a natural sugar and the name “corn syrup solid” is used because corn tends to be the primary source. This material is distinct from high fructose corn syrup which undergoes a reaction of the sugars to include a higher ratio of fructose. Corn syrup solids provide sweetness and thickening properties to foods while offering a natural source of glucose. As with fructose, a diet that uses this type of ingredient in moderation can be considered healthy and safe for those with no issues digesting sugar.
I would like to submit a question on a subject I would like you to talk about and help us understand. 2 things, often someone will think our Formula 1 has artificial sweeteners in them and when I show them it’s ‘fructose’, some still think it’s artificial and not healthy. How could we best address Fructose as a natural sweetener? Also, can you clarify what Corn Syrup Solids are (in our PDM) and what is it exactly compared to other corn sweeteners and/or why it’s in there?
